Professional
info
Your main Tutor is not only a Teacher, but comes from the International Business World and is therefore familiar with what is necessary to get YOU and/or YOUR Business noticed on the International Market, or to get you Chatting with the Locals.
She teaches adults - even the high and mighty Executives - in a similar way she has taught children: ...After all look at what two year olds can come out with … and they certainly have NEVER READ a grammar book…!
So we always concentrate on "conversation" first.
Having taught and interpreted both English and Italian at a very intense level for many years (besides having lived and set up businesses over 25 years in both countries), Pauline has abundant knowledge of lots of 'quirky tips' to help you remember things easily.
Not many Tutors teaching Languages in Britain know as many INS & OUTS of the Italian language and more importantly understand the way of thinking of Italian Companies and the Italians and also have over 30 years experience of living and working with English and American Companies.

Past "TEACHING" Experience
Besides having worked extensively for years with busy Professionals needing to learn a language quickly to stay on top of their business, for over 5 years, Pauline also headed a local Lancashire branch of "Le Club Français franchise" (a selection of after-school Language Clubs for children between 5 and 11 years old ).
This is where many of the quirky tips to make a language fun, but more importantly, easier to remember, came from.
"I started teaching English to Italian companies at the Benedict School in Modena in 1976.
Only when I returned to the UK in 1994 did I first have the idea to start the Residential courses for Italian Business Professionals in my Home Town of Burnley.
I was amazed to see how people, especially from the bigger cities of Milan, Rome, Naples and Bologna, loved the English countryside that they experienced here in LANCASHIRE
People also told me how they found a smaller town less intimidating than London both to find their way around on their own and also because the locals were "less in a hurry than in the City"
In Burnley my Visitors also found it was easier to follow some of their preferred sporting activities like swimming, tennis, horse riding and golf".
I love Teaching...,
but only to people who really NEED to learn a language.
"OTHER"Past WORKING Experience
I spent over 16 years organising
Conferences, Incentive Travel & Exhibitions
in Europe, USA and Asia from 1979 to 1995.
I was the International Marketing & Sales Director for 4 years for the Italian branch
of Reed Exhibitions (one of the largest Exhibition Organisers in the world).
I have worked as an Interpreter and Translator for many years in the past
and more recently I have translated various websites and tourism books.
Your main Tutor Pauline started her education in her Family's Home Town of Burnley
in the North of England until the age of 11 when she went to boarding school
in San Remo on the Italian Riviera until the age of 15,
finishing with 9 subjects of general education
equivalent to 9 GCSEs.
She then spent two years in Cannes, France where she left with a
Mention Honorable of the Alliance Française.
Returning to the UK, she went to Harrogate College where in one year
she got A' levels in French and Italian.
She had a place at Liverpool University,
but preferred to return to Italy to start her Working Career.
