PAST CLIENTS

After having taught both Italians and English Nationals in Italy, in 2001 we also brought high flying Executives from large Italian Blue Chip Companies on a reverse experience, so they could live and breathe the true “English” Countryside and learn English at the same time.

Nearly all the Professionals I have had the pleasure of "working" with have been amazed how I could tell them during the first lesson

where many of their problem areas were.

The fact is: in Italy, English has been taught mainly in the State Schools, which do not really help people to "speak"

and therefore people do not have the ability to have the necessary "conversations" with their Clients.

A few hours correcting their pronunciation errors (nearly all the same) helps them gain enormous confidence and so there after they  actually "enjoy" reading on their own and researching their Business Topics on the Internet, again "on their own"

- obviously the more they read: the more they learn.

It has to be FUN or it won't be learnt... (Children can prove this at a very early Age).  Watch them... and Learn

ANSALDO

I was intoduced to Maurizio at an evening event of the Manchester Branch of the Italian Chamber of Commerce, he had recently come to work and live in the North of England and needed to review the Translation of various Technical Documents.

Although quite fluent in English, he also appreciated my help in pronouncing difficult  technical terms, relevant to his work, which no doubt helped him gain more confidence during his future important Business Encounters.

MARAZZI

Piero had booked a 3 week intensive language course during his Summer Holidays, but also wanted to have some "Holiday Time" too, which is why he came with a Friend who actually had a lower level of English knowledge.

However he was happy to do some "well-needed basic revision" together, which made him feel more confident, as he said previous School courses had not taught him a lot.  Then we did some individual lesssons so they could both be pushed to read and talk more.

They both enjoyed being able to easily get to Manchester in their free time and said that they actually enjoyed it more than a previous stay in London, where the transport was very "... Time Consuming..."

SELENIA

The trouble with Chief executives is that there is only so much time they can take out of work for a longer Study Period.  So when Silvano was told "he needed to improve his English 'quickly' ... he had to abandon the Family during their usual August vacation time and throw himself "whole-heartedly" into the task.

His determination and absolute 'need' to learn quickly helped us work well together, concentrating on 'staged' business meetings with invisible Clients.

Great Fun! - He said he would try this out with his children :-)

The progress he made in his short time here was really good.

Accountant from Naples

Luigi was another lovely person who sacrificed his summer holidays to better his English for his own personal satisfaction as he wanted to travel more in the future.

His level was initially quite basic, but we worked at it constantly throughout his stay and his confidence improved greatly as he started to relax and practice prepared sentences in shops and restaurants.

Because there was less 'Business Need' pressure, we were able to take a more leisurely approach and many "Conversation Lessons" were taken walking or driving around the lovely Lancashire & Yorkshire countryside and to the nearby glorious Lakes in Cumbria.
